Charity Assembly

Today in school we held a special assembly to celebrate all the money we raised for the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice last year. At the end of the school year Primary 5 held a jumble sale and we also held our annual sponsored walk and through both of these events we managed to raise a massive £2167! Sam and Kezia were the top collectors with £151 and £75 respectively. Thank you to everyone who donated.

Representatives from the charity were in school today to tell us about how the money we raised will be used. We also heard some stories about our red cow, Daisy. Out of all the schools in Northern Ireland who decorated the cows, our cow was selected as the overall winner. This is down to the hard-working pupils who decorated Daisy before she left on her journeys around the local area. She has since been spotted in Ards Shopping Centre and Bloomfield Shopping Centre collecting money for the charity. Our visitors told us that she has managed to collect lots more money. Make sure you say 'Hi!' if you see her about.
