By 16th March all classes had planted their spuds and the competition had begun. Each class looked after their class vegetable patches; planting, watering and weeding.
In the last week in June each class harvested their spuds. It was hard work in the blazing heat. After much deliberation Mrs Breen judged the harvest of each class and decided that, for the first time ever, P4 were there winners. She says our potatoes are 100% organic- no fertilizer at all.
P4 then worked hard preparing their prize dinner- bacon, beans and spuds. They washed the spuds, cooked the dinner and then enjoyed their meal.
